ROOM FEES AND DEPOSITS
We do not charge room fees. We request a $100 deposit for the Garden Room, with a 14 day cancellation policy, and a $300 deposit for the Middleburg Room and F. Scott's, with a 30-day cancellation policy. We ask that all cancellations be received in writing. Balances are due at the end of the evening unless the Private Party Manager has approved previous arrangements.
There is a minimum food and beverage sale of $2,000 is required for events in F.Scott’s with $1000 in food. There is a $200 service charge for events with cash bars. We are happy to open 1789 Restaurant for private luncheons with a minimum sale of $1000. There are no minimums for the Garden Room or Middleburg Room.
GUARANTEE
The final guest count is needed before noon two business days in advance of the event. Once received, this number will be considered a guarantee.
PARKING
During the evening, complimentary valet parking is provided. Special arrangements may be made for valet service for daytime functions at $50/hour.
HANDICAP ACCESSIBILITY
Both 1789 Restaurant and F.Scott’s are located in a federal townhouse that is not handicap accessible. Please inquire about specific details and special needs.
ATTIRE
In 1789 Restaurant, we ask that gentlemen wear jackets (neckties are optional) and ladies wear business or dress attire.
FLOWERS
We provide fresh, seasonal cut flowers. For an additional charge, special floral arrangements can be made.
CAKES AND PASTRIES
Our pastry chef and her staff can accommodate almost any request, from cakes to specialty desserts.
EQUIPMENT
Audiovisual equipment is available at an additional charge.
MUSIC
Soft background music is provided throughout 1789 Restaurant. A deejay service is also available for F. Scott’s events for $500 for four hours.

These menus are suggestions of our restaurant’s specialties and may be altered to suit your needs. Please note that the prices for both food and beverage do not include the 10% District of Columbia sales tax. A gratuity of 20% will be applied to any private dining functions. This service charge is subject to D.C. sales tax. All prices and menu items are subject to change. Personalized menus are printed especially for your dinner or luncheon.
